The National School of Open Schooling is well abbreviated as (NIOS) is a national board that administers examinations for Secondary and Senior Secondary examinations of open schools similar to the CBSE and the CISCE to increase literacy and provide education to rural areas. Numerous students clear class 12th from the NIOS and have doubt in mind are they eligible to take admission in DU SOL or not? Or have queries in mind similar to this as follows

Eligibility Criteria for SOL DU Admission

  • Your minimum age should be 18 years

B.A. (Program) 40% or above in aggregate in any qualifying examination Minimum passing marks in any qualifying examination 36% or above in the aggregate in in any qualifying examination 38% or above in the aggregate in any qualifying examination with 40% and above disabilities
B.A. (Hons.) English 60% marks and above in any qualifying examination with at least 70% marks in English core or 60% marks in English elective/ functional English , provided a candidate has appeared in a paper in the subject of English carrying a credit of 100 marks along with one language + three academic subjects (vocational stream is not allowed) Minimum passing marks in any qualifying examination along with one language + three academic subjects (vocational stream is not allowed) 54% marks and above in any qualifying examination. List of Documents Required for Admission in SOL DU by NIOS Students

Students who have passed class 12th from NIOS Board, CBSE compartment cases and CBSE (Non-Delhi Region) if you are not a resident of Delhi have to upload the following documents:

  • Recent Photograph and Signature
  • Self Attested copy of Class-X Certificate and Marksheet.
  • Self Attested copy of Class-Xll Certificate and Marksheet.
  • (current students can send scanned copy of the Provisional Certificate)
  • Scanned copy of Migration Certificate ( if the candidates studied from boards other than Delhi like NIOS, UP,Bihar,Haryana, Rajasthan etc.)

Photograph Size

  • The size of the photograph should more than 4 kb and less than 24 kb
  • resolution size of the photograph should be 100 pixel width and 120 pixel height in .jpg format.

Signature Size

  • The size of the signature should more than 1 kb and less than 12 kb
  • resolution size of the signature should be 40 pixel width and 60 pixel height in .jpg format.

The digital size of the file other than Photograph and Signature (like 10th Marksheet, 12th Marksheet, 12th Certificate, etc) must be less than 2 MB(.pdf format).
